Wing Jumping & Dresage Centre originated in 1960 as an indoor
Centre, and was one of the first in the country to be built. It
was set up by June Warren, who is well known throughout the
equestrian world in showing, eventing and as the owner of this
establishment. The
Centre
went on to host one of the first three-day events in the UK
and had some of the best people in the sport competing, including
Princess Anne.

After some great years, the Centre
unfortunately disbanded and is now used as a grain store, some say it was “before its time”. A few years later, June Warren set up Wing Jumping & Dressage Centre
which is based across the road from the old indoor school on Wing Airfield. It offered a great outdoor venue which was used all year round for over 25 years.
During this time the Centre offered both Affiliated and Unaffiliated Show Jumping, Unaffiliated and Affiliated Dressage, Combined
Training and Showing.

Over the past few years it has been out of use due to a lack of time and resources, but now due to
funding from the Leader Programme by SEEDA, I have been able to re-surface the main arena with a Martin Collins Fibre surface and erect new fencing on both
the warm up arena and the main arena. I have also created a new access to avoid using the Airfield.
The Centre will now be offering Unaffiliated and Affiliated Show jumping, Unaffiliated Dressage,
Combined Training and Clinics
and is the perfect hire facility for private use or for your Riding or Pony Club.
